The Motor Mite is a miniature, full featured Trainmaster command control system suitable for locomotives or motorized units where limited motor power is needed, and available space within the locomotive is at a premium. The Motor Mite can deliver a maximum of 4 Amperes making it perfect for light duty O-Gauge locomotives such as small steam or diesel switchers, Beeps, and other powered units such as Budd cars, electric MU cars, trolleys, snowplows, and other rail maintenance vehicles. Unlike other, cumbersome products that utilize half-wave drivers, the Motor Mite provides full wave power to a single standard size AC or DC motor, or up to four small, truck mounted DC motors. For applications where high motor power is required, the AC/DC DLX is recommended.
S-Gauge modelers can use the Motor Mite to upgrade their locomotive fleets to TMCC. Its small size makes it suitable for use in Post War American Flyer, as well as in modern production locomotives from Lionel, S-Helper Service, and American Models.
In addition to the motor drive, convenient connections to electrocouplers, directional lighting, and a smoke unit or MARS light are also provided. The Motor Mite comes complete with a genuine Lionel R2LC Radio Receiver, assuring 100% compatibility with the Lionel Trainmaster Command Control System. The Motor Mite can be used stand alone, or in conjunction with a Railsounds 4.0 system.
The incredibly small footprint of the Motor Mite is attributed to the use of miniature state of the art surface mount components and advanced techniques to minimize heating, thereby eliminating the need for bulky heatsinks and/or mounting brackets. All that is necessary to mount the Motor Mite to an engine chassis is a small piece of double sided foam tape.
To assure continued reliable operation, all motor and power connections to the board are made with highly flexible, high strand count Wire-Plex wire. Despite the use of the highest quality components and materials, the Motor Mite is reasonably priced to make upgrading your entire locomotive fleet to TMCC as affordable as possible.
